“I am SO thrilled that I found Wee Little Arts for my daughter! I have never seen any other art program that is so effective, so creative, so inspiring to young little artists…and so fun!
My daughter literally went from drawing very simple stick figures to being able to express her thoughts, feelings and real things in any medium she wants. She can paint, draw or sculpt people animals, flowers, buildings and anything else she wants either real or imagined. She explained to me one day that art could be anything you want it to be, that it didn’t have to look exactly like the thing, but that it could look how YOU want it to look! Now THAT is quite something for a 5 year old to say (and she learned it in Wee Little Arts!)
One of my favorite quotes is ‘A culture is only as great as its dreams and its dreams are dreamed by artists.‘ Well, with the artists that this program is helping to create and nurture and inspire… we have quite a culture and quite a future to look forward to!
Thanks Wee Little Arts (& Melissa!) for putting this program there. Now let’s get it into every school so every child can have it!”

Parent Testimonials
Melissa, I want to thank you for all you have done for Mary Catherine over the past two years. She absolutely loves your class. I was a bit floored when she came home the day before we were flying to New York and informed me that we had to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art because she had “pieces of art” she needed to see. You made it all happen by taking the time to plan my museum trip!
She was so excited when we arrived. The first piece we saw wasn’t even on the list you provided, it just caught her eye as we were going through one gallery. She reminded me that she had studied this artist last year (and I actually have her rendering hanging in my office). She was even able to tell me how Jackson Pollock “layered” his paint. As I am a complete novice in an art gallery, I was so proud that she was describing things to me. The highlight of our visit to MOMA was when I asked a concierge for directions to a gallery and I explained that we had flown up from South Carolina and my daughter was in a fine art class and we were looking for specific pieces that she studied. The concierge insisted she was not going to let Mary Catherine miss the Van Gogh exhibit. I told her we weren’t able to see the exhibit as it was on a timed tickets, which conflicted with our plans. She took us straight to the exhibit as her special guest so Mary Catherine could see the “Starry Night”.
What a thrill for both of us. Again, you are doing amazing work with your program and I wish you continued success.

Laurie and I would like to thank you again for your work with Gavin. The program thoroughly impressed both of us, but even more impressive than that was the obvious positive interaction you have with the children. That shows through in all of the pictures on the wall in the cafeteria each week. Thanks again!

Student Testimonials
I loved taking Wee Little Arts because I love to paint. Not just flat but other things. My green lizard is one of my favorite toys cause I made it.
My mom loves the flowers I made and painted. My sister wants to make flowers too.
- Student: Max B.
In Wee Little Arts I enjoyed getting to do fun and creative projects. Each piece we worked on showed our individuality as there was no right or wrong way to draw or paint. I liked the fact that all of the work was on display for anyone to look at! Every time we do a project we have a book read to us about an artist whose work relates to the project we are working on. Whenever we finish a project we get our work matted so we can bring it home to show our families and friends. All the art teachers always have an enthusiastic humor that makes us laugh and want to do an art project right away!

Director Testimonials
I am so very impressed by your art program for young children! In my twenty-seven years as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, art has always been a very important part of my teaching. I believe that children’s art should be that-not teacher touched up and perfected. You have a very pure method of making children aware of the various mediums and techniques, but allowing them to express themselves and take pride in the work. I think your inclusion of art history and appreciation is a valuable part of your program.
Wee Little Arts, offers our children a great enrichment program that is age appropriate, fun, and educational.

Thank you for all your hard work with Little School! The parents have been so impressed with what their children have learned. I have told Rebecca Burton about you and said of all of our programs that yours is the one that has to stay because there is no one as far as we are concerned that can teach art to children as well as you. I hope we get an opportunity to work together in the future!!
